Is gum bleeding normal?
Gum bleeding is often the first sign of gingivitis and should not be ignored. With early intervention treatment can be successfully completed.
Is gum treatment painful?
Standard scaling does not require anesthesia. For deep curettage or surgery, local anesthesia is applied, so no pain is felt.
Does gum recession reverse?
Gum recession does not reverse on its own. Progression can be stopped, and in aesthetic cases gum grafts may correct it. Suitability is assessed after examination.
How often are check-ups needed afterwards?
Follow-up sessions are usually every 3–6 months, adjusted to the patient's individual risk factors.
