About Spec. Dt. Burcu Erdem
Born in 1997, Spec. Dt. Burcu Erdem completed her undergraduate education at Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Dentistry between 2016 and 2021. Driven by her special interest in children’s oral and dental health, she successfully completed her specialization training at the Pediatric Dentistry Department of the same university between 2022 and 2025, earning the title of Pediatric Dentistry Specialist.
Valuing the integration of academic development with clinical practice, Dr. Erdem focused her specialization thesis on “The Relationship Between the Presence of Bruxism (Teeth Grinding) in Pediatric Patients and Family Functioning and Stress Levels.” She has also contributed to international studies examining the effects of early permanent tooth extractions. Closely following current treatment approaches, she has earned certifications from prestigious institutions in areas such as pediatric zirconia and stainless steel crown applications, pulp therapies, and MTA applications.
Adopting preventive dentistry as her core clinical philosophy, Spec. Dt. Burcu Erdem focuses on pediatric dental trauma, space maintainers, and endodontic treatments. She successfully applies behavior management techniques, particularly for children with dental anxiety, and performs comfortable dental treatments under sedation and general anesthesia when necessary.
